Milan is Italy’s city of the future, a fast-paced metropolis and the global capital of fashion and design where looking good is an art form. There’s no doubt about it, if you want to spend a fortune you can do this in Milan as it is known for its high-end restaurants and shops, where even the Starbucks is equally impressive and certainly worth a visit. However, you can also visit Milan’s without emptying your wallets as this chic city certainly has a lot to offer.   

Milan has a fascinating history having once been ruled by the Caesars of the day, to Napoléon, the Austro-Hungarians and Mussolini. The city may not have as many historic attractions as some other Italian cities, however, there is more than enough art and culture to experience for a few days on a short break.
