Know someone this property would be perfect for?

Il Paesino are self-catering agritourist apartments, which are family friendly, in the unspoilt countryside of Canicattini Bagni, Sicily.

Il Paesino self-catering apartments are close to so many hidden secrets of Sicily, as well as some more famous ones. Near the spectacular limestone Pantallica Gorge, with its prehistoric tombs and cave dwellings from the Byzantine period, it is a paradise for walkers. Also, nearby the Il Paesino apartments is the Nature Reserve of Cava Grande. Sicily’s version of America’s Grand Canyon perhaps, it is an even deeper gorge and visitors have to sign in before they are allowed to descend it!

The historically significant town of Palazzolo Acreide is 18km from Il Paesino. The lively, Baroque town is very atmospheric, with its Greek theatre, old streets and squares, good restaurants and really friendly locals. Only about 30km from Siracusa and Noto, Il Paesino is well situated for exploring as a family, the whole of this Baroque south-east corner of Sicily.

Il Paesino is a great example of an agriturismo family retreat with a 50 hectare farm from which cultivates 2,500 olive trees. In a truly lovely, rural and unspoilt part of Sicily, the delightful apartments at Il Paesino are in the ancient farmhouse, its stables and outbuildings. Scattered around the well-kept gardens and painted in vibrant blues, reds and yellows, Il Paesino’s apartments create the perfect picture. Inside, they are simply furnished, but are tasteful and of good quality with all the amnesties you require for your self-catering family stay. The lawns lead down to the large swimming pool, which has lots of sunny terraces and is surrounded by conifers, lemon trees and olive trees.

Il Paesino’s beautiful agritourist restaurant, in the grounds, is where Long Travel guests may book breakfast or dinner. Well-known in the area for traditional Sicilian cuisine, most vegetables served are grown on the farm, and food is locally sourced, or home-made by the lovely manager of the Il Paesino agriturismo. A delightful place to enjoy a good meal, there is even a glimpse of the sea, in the distance, from the restaurant terrace.

If you want a peaceful and relaxing family holiday, in a rural setting, with easy to reach places of interest and fantastic food on your doorstep, Il Paesino self -catering agritourist apartments are the place for you.

Customer Review

“We were mesmerised by the dragonflies, butterflies and swifts around the pool during the day and by the stars at night in the clear unlit skies. It was such a peaceful place – it was good for the soul! ” Carlo & Janet, London
