Starting your dream island-hopping holiday here will be just as dazzling as you thought it to be.
The beginning of your dream island-hopping holiday commences upon your arrival at Athens airport where you be met by your driver whom will transfer you to the centrally located five-star Athenian Callirhoe Hotel.
Athens, the capital of Greece and home to some of the most fascinating ancient landmarks in the world offers a fusion of ancient and modern history, culture and tradition. Being present in one of the most ancient cities in the world, you will be able to take a walk back in the past to 600BC through the visiting of archaeological museums, hidden caves and traditional cafés.
An overnight stay will ensure that you can enjoy the stunning location and take a gander through the cobbled Grecian streets for the authentic tastes that the flavoursome restaurants have to offer. Enjoy your brief encounter with Athens before you venture on your journey to the beautiful island of Paros the following day.
Days at Leisure (days 2- 7)
Day Two - Your driver will be at hand to transfer you from your hotel to Piraeus Port where you will embark on a ferry ride to Paros, starting your laid-back island holiday. Once at Paros Port, your driver will transfer you to Yria Hotel, an elegant four star boutique hotel. With five days in the most beautiful fairy tale island of the Cyclades, there are many things to see and do and car hire can be arranged for your ease if preferred as this will give you change to explore the island independently and get a better feel.
Visit the peaceful village, Lefkes, boasting picturesque cobblestoned paths along with whitewashed neoclassical buildings and the Byzantine Road, a 1000-year-old marble paved path built to connect Marpissa with the idyllic town of Parikia.
Marpissa, a small place founded in the 15th century, is a traditional village with a distinctive medieval character. It is located on a hill, a few kilometres away from the famous beaches of Loyaras and Pisso Livadi. You can wander through the beautiful traditional village Naoussa, a colourful small fishing village, where the ruins of a Venetian fortress stand at the entrance to its small harbour with charming cafes, bars and boutique hotels and beaches nearby.
The Environmental and Cultural Park of Paros, a protected area, is also a remarkable visit as it offers an incredible 700 seated open-air theatre, a replica of the Ancient Greek amphitheatres named after the famous Paros island poet, Archilochos.
A visit to the fishing port of Aliki, located on the south-west of the Paros coast, home to some of the most authentic restaurants in Greece is also worth exploring.
Day 8: Embark to Paros Port and Athens Airport
Your driver will meet you and transfer you to the ferry port for your ferry journey back to Piraeus Port and then transfer you to Athens Airport for your chosen flight back to the UK.
There are also connecting flights with Paros via Athens.
