This delightful Greek cruise takes you to some of her most beautiful islands, sailing from Athens through the enchanting Cyclades, the jewels of the Aegean.

It takes in well-known islands such as Santorini, beautiful Mykonos and the nearby sacred island of Delos, which was dedicated to the worship of Apollo. It also includes lesser-known islands such as Folegandros, which is truly off the beaten track, and the idyllic island of Paros.

It’s a chance to combine stunning scenery with enchanting islands and plenty of time for swimming on an archetypal Greek island cruise.

Day 1:

Friday – Athens – Poros

Arrive in Athens and embark the stylish M/S Galileo between 2-3 pm at Marina Zea, near the main port of Piraeus. Enjoy a welcome drink and have the opportunity to meet your crew and fellow passengers, before sailing to Poros for a short 3 hour visit, before setting sail for Poliegos. Overnight at sea.

Day 2:

Saturday – Poliegos – Folegandros

Morning arrival in Poliegos, a very small island known for its amazing beaches. Enjoy a morning swim stop followed by a BBQ on deck.

Afternoon sailing to Folegandros, one of the most beautiful but lesser known islands in the Aegean Sea. Walk through the enchanting upper city and enjoy the possibility of tasting delicacies at the traditional Greek tavernas.

Day 3:

Sunday - Santorini

Early in the morning, you will depart for Santorini. You will arrive in Santorini (occasionally it is necessary to stop at anchor) where you will have the opportunity of exploring its unique capital Fira. Santorini is one of the best known of the Greek island’s famous for her dramatic volcanic scenery and picturesque whitewashed buildings.

Take an optional excursion to the archaeological site of the Minoan Bronze Age settlement of Akrotiri, where you can visit the fascinating excavations and enjoy a tour of the surrounding villages. This includes a stop at the beautiful village of Oia known for its breath-taking view over the caldera, the volcanic lagoon which is at the very heart of Santorini.

Day 4:

Monday – Antiparos - Paros

Today it’s time for the archetypal Greek island experience! In the morning you will enjoy a swim stop in an enchanting bay of Antiparos.

Early noon you will arrive in Paros with its iconic Byzantine church, which is best known for its stunning beaches. You will enjoy a visit to Parikia and the quaint village of Naoussa.

Then it is time to have a fun night and show us your dancing skills during our famous Greek Night.

Day 5:

Tuesday – Delos - Mykonos

You can take an optional morning tour to the unique archaeological site of Delos, antiquity’s most sacred island. It was a cult centre and the mythological birthplace of Apollo and Artemis. The excavations here are some of the most extensive in the Mediterranean.

Later on, we stop at one of Mykonos’ beautiful bays for swimming off the ship before sailing into the port of Mykonos itself.  This glitzy island is visited by the international jet set and renowned for its nightlife. It is yours to explore and the night is young!

Day 6:

Wednesday - Syros

After a morning swim we will arrive in Syros, the capital of the Cycladic islands where you can enjoy one of its beautiful sandy beaches. It has been settled as far back as the early Bronze Age, and its port town of Ermoupoli, was once even more important than Piraeus. Enjoy a relaxing day swimming and sunbathing, or wander through the town, soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying the unique architecture of the buildings. Overnight in Syros.

Day 7:

Thursday - Kythnos – Cape Sounion- Athens

In the morning we will arrive in Kythnos where you will enjoy a swim in Kolones bay. Kythnos is renowned for having over 70 beaches! We will then set sail for Marina Zea via Cape Sounion, the temple of Poseidon. We will arrive in Marina Zea, close to Athens, in the late afternoon for the Captain’s Farewell Dinner and overnight.

Day 8:

Friday - Marina Zea (disembarkation): Disembarkation after breakfast

Transfer to the Airport for your flight back to the UK or extend your stay in Athens for extra nights to continue with your Greek adventure of discovery.
