We strongly believe that travelling is all about finding new worlds and trying to discover every element of their unique beauty. Winter is a perfect time to follow our exclusive Finland itinerary and to explore the magic of the 'white land' having some really interesting activities such as hunting northern lights on a snowmobile, Snowshoeing trek to Nellim’s beautiful forests, Husky safari and most of all to feel the delightful retreat in a warm and cosy winter home where the relaxation is guaranteed.

In Inari you will be staying at:

Wilderness Hotel Nangu

Day 1: Arrive at Helsinki Vantaa airport and meet your transfers who will take you to your Helsinki hotel.

Have the rest of the late afternoon and evening to explore the compact city of Helsinki and maybe try out one of its nearby fantastic restaurants and maybe even take in a sauna or swim in the Allas Sea Pool. This spa with both fresh and sea water complete with three saunas. The saunas are heated from morning to evening.

Day 2: Meet you transfer at your hotel who will take you to Helsinki airport where you will board your flight to Ivalo.

You will then be transferred to you cosy winter home for the next 3 nights- Wilderness Hotel Nangu.

Settle in to your Wilderness Deluxe room and take some time to relax before enjoying dinner in Nangu’s cozy restaurant (Included) with traditional log walls and a menu filled with delicacies inspired by Lappish cuisine.

After dinner you will head out to hunt northern lights on a snowmobile.

On this snowmobiling tour, you will head to Lake Inari in search of northern lights, looking for the best spots to view the open night sky. Driving distance depends on the weather conditions – if the sky looks promising, we will make more stops to admire the northern lights that will hopefully appear for us.

Day 3: Today after your breakfast you will head off on a Snowshoeing trek to Nellim’s beautiful forests.

On this 4 hour trek, we will head to Nellim forests and hills. The forest is a beautiful winter wonderland, and the silence is like nowhere else. During the trek the guide will share interesting stories and information about Finnish nature and animals. Eventually you will reach your camp place, where you will have some lunch and warm drinks by the open fire. This trip is perfect for photographers and nature lovers, as snowshoeing is a true eco-activity!

In the afternoon you will have time to yourself or arrange another experience if you wish and in the evening experience dinner again in the cosy restaurant (included) and relax with a glass of wine by the log fire.

Day 4: This morning after breakfast you will head out on a husky sledge and meet reindeer on a full-day trip to the Nellim village.

To kick off the day, you will be transferred the 45km distance from Nangu to Nellim by car.

On the Husky Safari, you will be taught how to handle the sled before heading out for a ride, the huskies pulling your sled through the beautiful winter scenery, passing through frozen Lake Inari. The dogs’ excitement is infectious and as the animals fall silent on the trail, you will realize that this is the only way to see Lapland.

The visit to the reindeer farm will give you an insight on Sámi culture and way of life in the north. The reindeer herder welcomes you and you will be invited to the reindeer enclosure. The guide will tell you more about the Sámi culture and the life of a reindeer herder. You will feed the reindeer – the curious animals might even come up and eat out of your hand! Lunch is included in this experience.

In the evening on your return you can relax with a lovely dinner in Nangu’s cozy restaurant (included) with traditional log walls and a menu filled with delicacies inspired by Lappish cuisine.

Day 5: This morning after breakfast you will be transferred back to Ivalo airport and fly back to Helsinki and then on back to the UK.
