The Palheiro gardens are situated about 500 meters above sea level. The original owner, the Conde de Carvalhal, planted many trees on the estate and laid the foundation to the Camellia collection; some of his early plantings can still be seen today.
We will take a light snack at the gardens café and take a break to endure the beautiful atmosphere. This will be followed by a guided visit of Palheiro Gardens.
After the visit we will continue our journey and reach our charming hotel Quinta Da Serra, located in Jardim da Serra Village, high up on the hills surrounded with beautiful gardens and forest. Quinta Da Serra will be our home for three nights while we are exploring this part of Madeira. Check into your rooms and relax.
