We have put together a sample itinerary for you to follow, as based on our personal experience in this beautiful country.
Each area has unique features, landscape and gastronomy and provides you with an amazing Portuguese experience to remember.
Please Note: We can also organise a two centre for Lisbon & North Portugal, Lisbon & Central Portugal, Lisbon & Alentejo and also Lisbon & Algarve. In the above we tried to combine all regions excluding Lisbon, Estoril & Cascais but they can also be included if preferred
Arrive to Porto, collect your hire car and drive to your hotel. The Yeatman hotel is located in the Vila Nova De Gaia, overlooking the beautiful city of Porto with striking views. From the hotel you can use the small boats to go across the river or walk across the bridge and explore the city of Porto on foot.
Depart from your hotel and head to the beautiful city of Comibra via Aveiro and possible Costa Nova especially if you are travelling through the sea season as the beaches of Costa Nova is renowned. Aveiro is also known as the Venice of Portugal and is a perfect place to enjoy lunch in one of the traditional restaurants or small cafes near the Grand Canal. In the afternoon, continue to Coimbra, a city with the oldest university in Portugal and famous for its’ Fado singers.
Day 4: Enjoy Coimbra old town at your leisure
Depart from Coimbra and continue towards south to reach the nearby beautiful Villa Pedra Natural Houses. The old village houses will be your home for 3 nights in the heart of the nature. During your stay you can relax and enjoy the surrounding natural habitat, go for a bike ride or hike as the area is stunning and provides all ingredients needed for a relaxing time. We think this is a great place to rejuvenate, chill out and allow you to continue to your discoveries in Portugal.
Continue to Alentejo, the gastronomy centre of Portugal. 2 nights stay at the beautiful Torre De Palma Wine Hotel. Explore the area on bikes, horseback or by car during your stay. The food & wine in Torre De Palma is excellent and must be tried.
Continue towards Evora, another UNESCO World Heritage Site in Portugal. Evora is beautiful and great to explore on foot with amazing history and architecture.
Day 16: Drive to Faro Airport for your flight back to UK
