Nadia was absolutely blown away by Puglia’s charm and beauty and would love to share her experience with you…
Nadia’s trip to Puglia…
"Last autumn I visited Puglia, and absolutely loved it! I stayed near the town of Locorotondo within in the scenic Valle d’Itria. The town is picturesque, whitewashed and has many small shops selling traditional Pugliese pottery. There are fantastic views across the region’s vineyards, which naturally means the local wine is just delicious!
Locorotondo is an excellent holiday location with many of Puglia’s must-see sites nearby. From here you can easily visit the beautiful town of Cisternino, the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Alberobello, capital of the Trulli, the baroque city of Martina Franca, Ostuni, the so-called "white city” and the attractive coastal cities of Monopoli and Polignano a Mare.
During my trip I stayed with our new partners at the beautiful and family-run Ottolire Resort. This peaceful countryside retreat has a lovely pool, spectacular views, a jacuzzi with a trullo roof, and a small spa - the hospitality, atmosphere and cuisine were all fantastic!
I was also amazed by the story of how the owner’s grandparents were fascinated by a group of ruined trulli, that the family have since brought back to life to become the Ottolire Resort as it is today.
If you are dreaming of a holiday where you can enjoy quintessential Italian experiences, then a visit to Puglia must be on the list for when the current global travel restrictions are eased.”
