An almost secret archway leads into a small and pretty courtyard from the streets of Pisciotta, where the HotelMarulivo’s thick walls of exposed stone tower upwards to the square of blue sky above. A joy of higgledy-piggledy stairways and twisting corridors lead to the rooms of the boutique Hotel Marulivo and to the spectacular roof terrace, at the very top. Enchanting, it is where Long Travel guests usually take breakfast and relax throughout the day, enjoying one of the best panoramas that the Cilentohas to offer. The extraordinary endless blue views of the sea, way below, and the vast expanse of sky, which meets it on the horizon, are breathtaking and absolutely unforgettable.

Breakfasts at the romantic Hotel Marulivo are also worthy of a special mention. They have a touch of delicacy and elegance about them, with breads and pastries delivered to your table in your own basket, yoghurts individually made with added hazelnuts and chopped fruit and all sorts of other tempting delights.

The unique Hotel Marulivo has an elegance and attention to detail with the crisp bed linens, earthy colours, terracotta tiles, antique beds and exposed stone walls keep reminding you that you are in a building steeped in history, and we at Long Travel can’t get enough of it. Some rooms are not huge, but all are absolutely charming and romantic. Some have a standing French balcony. Others have large windows. Superior Rooms and Junior Suites are the rooms with direct sea-viewwell worth those extra few centesimi!
