Only about 300m from the centre of Alghero, right opposite the promenade and sea front, this unique, octagonal Art Nouveau Villa Mosca is a masterpiece of original design and careful restoration. An important and beautiful example of the period, the villa is a nationally recognised and protected historic house. The villa's rich architectural detail, so typical of the early 1900's, is a perfect marriage with the luxurious, contemporary but classic interior.
Villa Mosca has aimed for boutique luxury and exclusivity and its quality easily competes with the very best leading hotels. Being so exquisitely small, it feels relaxed and very special. The interior design is contemporary, but harks back to Art Nouveau, with whites, blacks, greys, silvers and gleaming bronzes. The octagonal hallway, with its massive cascading crystal chandelier, is immediately impressive. With stunning light fittings, marble bathrooms, sumptuous furnishings and spectacular beds, the whole place is just beautiful.
In a really privileged elevated location, Villa Mosca feels very private and the setting is magical. As much care has been lavished on the grounds as on the villa and, like a mini botanical garden, they teem with unusual shrubs, gigantic unique trees and succulents. The piece de resistance has to be the lawns, which turn a fuschia pink, usually at the end of April or the beginning of May, depending on Mother Nature. This is a truly incredible sight, but don't worry if you don't make that period, because these gardens are a feast for the senses all season.
From the lovely gardens and terraces and from inside Villa Mosca, there are breathtaking sea views. Sunsets are a dream - you will rarely see them more striking. There is talk of an outdoor plunge pool or jacuzzi for next year - watch this space.

DELUXE
On the first floor, a fabulous room with spacious shower room, furnished balcony & magnificent front sea views. The best room in the house and worth every penny.
SUPERIOR
On the first floor, with sea views and lovely tall windows. One of these is a more spacious room, but has a side view of the sea and views of the garden.
COMFORT
Two separate rooms, on the second floor and in the eaves, so quite low headroom. There is no sea view, but there is a small sitting room & a small roof terrace (no view). One of the rooms has an adjoining single room, with small terrace. (Not ideal for families though)
VILLINI
Studios for 2 people, with double bedroom, sitting room with kitchen corner (hob with 2 rings & limited facilities). One has a sofa bed, only suitable for small child. Set in the gardens, with terrace.
