Up a gently-stepped pathway, towards the Villa Cimbrone gardens, and less than 10 minutes from the main square, this elegant and traditional Italian villa has breathtaking views towards the Amalfi Coast. Relaxing in its lovely garden terrace or in its graciously furnished sitting room, you feel at the earth's summit, in utter tranquillity, overlooking one of its most famous views in the world, far below.
The food and wine at the Villa Maria have a reputation for being exceptional and we would agree wholeheartedly. With their own organic fruit and vegetable garden, they produce much of the fare served in the restaurant. So, we're talking seasonal, supremely fresh, also making the most of daily caught fish from the Amalfi Coast. Scrumptious! Also known for its attentive service, your dining experience will be one to remember.
For cooler months, the Villa Maria's dining room is delightful and the views from it are spectacular. In season, diners eat outside on the terrace, enjoying the romantic blend of a candlelit dinner and splendid views, overlooking the bay, with lights twinkling in the distance. It's difficult to find a more romantic setting - it even prompted the "now " husband of our very own Laura to pop the question (no doubt in a moment of weakness!).
Just 5 minutes' walk up the stepped pathway from its sister hotel, the Giordano, guests of the Villa Maria park their cars there and have use of all of its facilities, including the swimming pool.
