Laura thinks that this is one of the cutest trulli we work with and she loves the owners, who are wonderful.
Approximately 3km from Cisternino, down a lovely, tranquil country lane, dotted with trulli, Trullo Oliva is in a delightful part of the Cisternino countryside. Semi-detached and perfect for a couple, the charming owners, Cataldo and Tina, often live next door during Summer. They are very discreet, shy even, and are amongst the nicest, "smiley-est " people you will meet in Cisternino. They love guests who enjoy some Italian contact and past clients have commented on their kindness. However, they are equally happy to let folks be.
In a picturesque setting, they lavish great care and attention on their trullo and it is their pride and joy - and justifiably so. A large porch gives shade for sitting and the extensive paved terrace, overlooking Cataldo's garden, has ample room for sunbathing and parking. Cataldo also sells his olive oil to any guests, who would like to use it. Extra virgin, cold press and as organic as it gets, it is a fantastic buy. His wine's not bad either - not for sale, but you could always ask him for a taste!
As Edward of Chester said, "The position of Trullo Oliva is excellent - so very tranquil, yet easy to get into town. The owners are very friendly and kind and, in spite of the language problem, we got on splendidly. " It's amazing what smiles, gestures and madly-waving arms can communicate!

"Trullo Oliva was everything I hoped for. Truly magical. So tranquil. Cataldo & Tina were the perfect neighbours. We 'talked' with the help of hands, smiling and a phrase book…we had a beautiful holiday and we have both fallen in love with Italy. We will be back! " Julie & Andy, Upminster
"The trullo was excellent. If you want to experience the real Italy away from Chiantishire, get down to Puglia! " Thomas, Liversedge
"Brilliant stay at Trullo Oliva. We love it. " Arthur & Val, Anglesey
“The owners are really lovely and allowed us to experience their freshly shaken walnuts, a couple of persimmons and a bottle of their wine." Ian & Carolyn, Kings Norton
