Traditional & close to town, a family favourite. Michael loves the great location, convenient for town, the excellent value for money and the dancing circle! Michael dancing? That we would love to see! Ray & Annie have danced many a "Pizzica-pizzica " at Trullo Cosimo.
Trullo Cosimo is on the edge of Cisternino, 1km from the old centre, so very convenient for the town. The walk in is a mix of about half virtually flat or gently sloping road, and the other half quite a steep hill. It is next to/behind one of the town's best hotels. Although not usually accessible from the trullo, one couple enjoyed dining there and coerced its owner to open the adjoining gate. They recounted some wonderful stories of strolling to the hotel and dining in the company of its Italian guests - they even ended up with an invitation to Sardinia!
Two-bedroomed and semi-detached, Trullo Cosimo is quite simple, but well cared for. There is a delightful, sunny paved patio area, built-in barbecue and small woods, ideal for picnics in the shade, as well as Cosimo's large garden and allotment. Great fans of ballroom dancing, there is even a shiny granite "dancing circle", where Cosimo and Domenica practice, when there are no guests! (And where maybe Michael has danced in secret, too?!)
A firm favourite with past clients, Ray and Annie often stayed there, before their own trullo was done. Cosimo sometimes tends his land behind and, although guests are not always aware of his presence, many are surprised at finding fresh cherries or garden produce on the doorstep. Clients, who meet the couple, are always charmed by their genuine kindness. Annie thinks that his cherries are the best she's ever tasted.
