Skiing in Abruzzo |
 |
|
 |
Although
Southern Italy is not all that well known for skiing – it
is in fact a popular pastime, in the mountains of Abruzzo….
Often
called the ‘little Tibet' of Italy, the Gran Sasso Mountains
are the highest of the Apennine peaks. Part of Abruzzo's
National Park, this range sees snow aplenty during the winter
months.
Choose
from either, the impressive yet unpretentious Villa Dragonetti,
with its colourful murals and cosy ambience or the equally
impressive, characterful and traditionally Abruzzese Le
Gole - both offer traditional recipes of the region, washed
down with the quintessential glass of rich, red Montepulciano
D'Abruzzo. Either would be a perfect retreat at the end
of a day's skiing.
The
ski packages are tailor-made and prices vary depending on
dates and requirements – please contact us for further details
and prices.
