Southern
Italy, Sicily and Sardinia have everything - rolling hills,
volcanoes, mountains, national parks, almost endless expanses
of olive groves and vineyards, lovely wooded hillsides and
of course, a beautiful coastline.
There
are so many areas to visit on your holiday where you can
walk or simply relax and enjoy the views. Wild flowers
in spring, give way to trees laden with fruit. Grapes in
various stages of ripeness, throughout summer and early
autumn and of course olive trees, which blossom in May and
are harvested from late October onwards. Stunning views,
which change colour, depending on the time of day and the
time of year. These are sights which can be enjoyed,
which will be cherished long after your holiday has ended.
Abruzzo,
where you can easily access the snow-capped mountains of
the Gran Sasso and the La Maiella ranges. The Amalfi Coast,
not far from Vesuvius, and just a short drive south to the
Cilento National park. Basilicata with its unspoilt, rugged
coastline and the Pollino National park. Sicily with its
mixture of rolling hills, volcanoes and volcanic islands
and national parks and of course don't forget Puglia, with
its endless vineyards and olive groves – each has its own
charm and personality and each will offer something very
different depending on the time of year you choose to go.
