MAY 2009 - SOUTH CAMPANIA

Just one night at the glorious Hotel Villa Sirio is certainly not enough - a lifetime would be good! We arrived last night to the warmest of welcomes from Alfonso and Rosalinda. So excited about their latest improvements that we were whisked off to see them immediately. The new Junior Suites and Suites are simply stunning and we are now as excited as they are. Next time we'll book one of them - and stay for a month...I wish.

For dinner, we were joined by their son, Andrea, his wife, Alessandra and the two children. We ate outside on the terrace, listening to the waves gently lapping almost at our feet and watching the sun set over Capri, in the distance. Such a heavenly, balmy evening was perfected by the delicious food and very quaffable wine. As we sipped our grappa the new moon shone across the sea and surf played in front of us. Paradise.

After a good night's sleep we awoke early to an already beautifully sunny day. We had breakfast on the balcony, watching the sea become more and more turquoise every minute - crystal clear and inviting.
